Policies/Prices

What is your cancellation policy?

Due to the limited number of rooms, cancellations of all confirmed reservations must be made 48 hours in advance (1 week for holidays and special events) of the scheduled arrival date, or your deposit will not be refunded. If reserved rooms are rebooked for the same dates as the originally scheduled reservation, your deposit will be returned less a $20 handling charge. All cancellation and reservation date changes are subject to a $20 handling charge regardless of date of cancellation or change. Guests are responsible for payment of all nights reserved, regardless of actual arrival or departure date. Full payment is due upon arrival.

What are your checkout & check-in times?

Check-in hours are normally from 3–6 p.m. We ask that advance arrangements be made for arrivals after 6 p.m. as we like to personally welcome and greet our guests. Checkout time is 11 a.m. If you have a special request on check-in and check-out, please talk to the Innkeeper and every effort will be made to fulfill that request.

What is your smoking policy?

For the comfort of guests, smoking is not allowed inside El Bo Inn. If you smoke outside, we ask that you please respect the property and our wildlife and prevent fires by using the ashtrays provided.

What is your alcohol policy?

El Bo Inn is located in a dry county. If you would like to enjoy your favorite alternative beverage, please be sure to bring your own.

Are pets allowed?

For the safety of guests and your pets, animals are not permitted on the property.

Are visitors allowed?

Room rates are for double occupancy. Facilities and services are for the exclusive use of El Bo Inn customers. Please respect the privacy of our guests.

Where can I park my car?

We offer a full 2-car garage for your car or truck. We can also accommodate larger vehicles. Please inquire with the Innkeeper if you have special parking needs or requests.

Do you have a discounted rate for extended stays?

Absolutely! Please contact the Innkeeper at (270) 205-5297 or using the contact form at the bottom of this (or any) page. If you use the form, please indicate the length of your stay using the drop-down menu. Then in the blank space, please indicate you are inquiring about a discounted rate.

Food & Beverage

What kinds of meals do you serve?

We serve a delicious complimentary breakfast every morning with homemade muffins, fresh fruit, homemade granola, juice, milk, coffee, and tea. A country breakfast is also available upon request.

What time does breakfast start?

Breakfast is served from 8-9:30 a.m. unless pre-arranged with the Innkeeper.

Can I purchase food or beverages on site?

Unfortunately, due to health regulations, we are not allowed to sell food or beverages. The Innkeeper will stock the refrigerator with bottled water and, of course, serve a delicious breakfast every morning from 8-9:30 a.m.

If I want to cook, do I need to bring anything beside the ingredients?

El Bo Inn offers a full kitchen including all the pots, pans, utensils, and dishware you need to enjoy your meal. The kitchen also features a full-size refrigerator and freezer, oven with electric burners, microwave, dishwasher, and coffeepot. If you have a question about a specific kitchen item, please don't hesitate to ask!

Is there a grill we can use?

We have a gas grill on the property for guest use. Feel free to fire up the BBQ and cook up your favorite grill food.

Fun & Leisure

What is there to do in the area?

The list is simply too long to tell it all right here! For an overview of all there is to do in the area-including swimming, boating, hunting, fishing, hiking, biking, sightseeing, and so much more-please visit the Area Attractions section of this website.

Can we hunt on the property?

Hunting is not allowed on the property. If you would like to hunt in the area, ask the Innkeeper for information on hunting licenses and directions to public areas where hunting is permitted. We suggest you do this in advance of your arrival as hunting seasons and restrictions vary greatly from state to state.

Can we fish on the property?

Catch and release fishing is allowed. Bring your own fishing equipment or use some we have on the property.

Technology

Will my cell phone work at El Bo Inn?

El Bo Inn receives reception from most major carriers, including AT&T (Cingular), T-Mobile, and Verizon. For information on a specific type of service, we suggest you ask your cell phone service provider.

Is there Internet access?

El Bo Inn is a quiet and secluded retreat. Currently, we do not offer Internet access in the rooms. The innkeeper does have internet access in her home and will be happy to let you use this service.

Are there TVs in the rooms?

Both bedrooms are equipped with television sets. David room has a DVD/VCR combo and Jonathan room has a state-of-the-art flat panel TV with built-in DVD player. We also have a collection of both videos and DVDs for guests to view. We ask that you replace movies that you watch so other guests may enjoy them in the future.

Is there a DVD player?

Both rooms offer DVD players and a selection of movies for your enjoyment.

Is there a CD player?

Both rooms have alarm clock radios with both CD players and docking station capabilities for your I-pod or other mp3 entertainment devices. There is a CD player, radio and a docking station capability for your I-pod in the kitchen.

Miscellaneous

Are there laundry facilities?

A: There is a full-size washer and dryer located in the B&B garage for your use free of charge. The Innkeeper will supply laundry detergent and all other supplies to keep your clothes smelling fresh and clean.
